2月20日下午，我院特邀英国剑桥大学Alexander David Carter教授为师生作题为“Can an AI be as creative as a human?”的学术报告。本次报告以线上形式举行，由邹小伟教授主持，我院60多名师生参加此次活动。

Carter教授重点从哲学层面出发，阐述了自发性悖论与AI创造性之间的关系。他结合艺术创作与模仿中的矛盾案例、语法与语义的思考讨论等，解释了AI无法像人类一样具有创造力这一论点。讲座中，Carter教授就“如何采取有效的技术和管理手段，提高AI的创造力”等问题与我院师生进行了热烈讨论。讲座后Carter教授与学院部分教师就专业建设、科学研究、人才培养与国际合作交流等方面进行了座谈。

专家介绍：

Dr. Alex David Carter graduated from the University of Essex with a PhD degree. He is Academic Director for Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Cambridge, Institute of Continuing Education. He is also a Fellow at Fitzwilliam College providing study skills support to students. Professor Carter’s areas of research and expertise are Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies, he has designed and delivered courses in philosophy, ethics and creativity theory. He is currently researching the relationship between humour and creative practice via the concept of “serious play”.
